Drama Mama
Ali has been cast in the ensemble of her school's production of "Kiss Me Kate!" Liberty, her highschool, is known as a magnet school for Theatre Arts and Music. However, originally their annual musical was going to be a production of "The Wiz." Now, I have no problem with this show in itself, except that at Liberty it was not going to be "The Wiz" as you and I know it. The drama teacher had altered the show substantially. In her version, Dorothy and Friends would be going to San Francisco on the Yellow Bart. Yes, that's right, she replaced the Yellow Brick Road with the Yellow Bart. Even worse, she had cast teachers in many key rols, and herself as the wicked witch! I think you'll agree with me that the school's decision to drop "The Wiz" and replace it with "Kiss Me Kate" was a good one.
