262,800 Minutes
That's the amount of time in 6 months (you Rent fans probably already figured this out). 6 months ago Saturday, we arrived at our local airport with Vika and Eamon in tow. This was after 30 hours of traveling, including a 6-hour layover in Frankfurt. It was by far, the longest, most exhausting Christmas Eve EVER. After getting off the plane, we merrily made our way to the line for "US Citizens and Residents." Someone had told us that we should go to that line because it would be quicker. It wasn't. After a 25-minute wait, we arrived at the front of the line, only to be told that the line we should be in was the one for "Immigrants." Here is a picture of us, delirious from travel, in front of the wrong line. By the time we got to the Immigrants line, we were grumpy and didn't feel like capturing the occasion on film.
So much has happened in the last 6 months that the kids in this picture are not the kids we know today. It is amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come, both literally (from Russia to the West coast of the US), and emotionally as a family. I can’t wait to see what the next 262,800 minutes of our first year together will bring.

Great picture! That Christmas Eve was the day our dossier was officially accepted and June 24 was our 6 month wait for a referral. So these dates are important for us too.
Your successful adoption story gives hope to us waiters. Thanks!
I remember that night only too well! Waiting in the International Lobby for 2 hours with huge knots in our stomachs. Definitely one of the most exciting, tearful, overwhelming Christmas Eves ever!!
Dude! Look how tiny they look, too. (Well, not you and Jeff.) Gees! They have grown so much!!!
AWESOME Guys!!!
Someday we will meet your little ones. :)
