Eamonisms

Eamon doing his munchkin-face at Starbucks

Some of you remember the infamous Eamon exclamation, "Yellow my chicken!"

Well, here are a few more Eamonisms for your reading pleasure:

After watching TV:
Jeff: You guys have watched enough TV. You know what happens when you watch too much TV?
Eamon: Then I become a potato-couch, and you'll eat me!

When deciding where to eat:
"Can we eat at Patchouli?" (instead of Chipotle)

When being served something to eat:
Me: Eamon, do you want some of this (insert food name)?
Eamon: Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. And now, I don't.
(a simple "No, thanks" would have sufficed, Eames)

When someone is given something:
"You have to say 'Thank you!' Say 'Thank you' or they'll take it away!"
- This is because of our house rule: if you don't say thanks for something, then it goes away. Eamon lost a cookie once due to this rule, and the lesson was forever seared into his brain.

The kid really is a goofball. He's always entertaining though!

How funny. I had never read the "Yellow My Chicken" post before, either. I missed that one.

btw - I read your comment on Elle's name post. Obviously Vika is a Russian name, but I always assumed Eamon was a name you selected. I've never heard that as a Russian name before. In any case, I love his name!

I didn't know Vika and Eamon were bio-sibs until recently either. Learn something new every day! :-)

I'm embarrassed that I found this funny, but the word verification on my last comment was "lefart."

It's a good thing I'm looking to adopt a 6-9 year old boy... I still find bodily function humor funny.

Ha! That is funny Maggie (the lefart - what the French call flatulence)!

Actually, Jeff selected Eamon's name (it's Irish) after nixing the 10 or so names I had chosen. We kept his Russian name, Nikolay, as his middle name (which also nixed my middle name selection of "James"). I do love Eamon's name though, and it certainly seems to fit him.
