Tagged! - 10 Weird Things About Me
I've been tagged by Arlene so here goes!!
Rules: Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things, habits or little known facts about themselves. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things, habits or little known facts, as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names.
Ten Weird Things About Jenni:
1) I sleep with 3 pillows: one under my head, one on top of my head (to block out light and noise), and one on my hip.
2) If there is a piece of gristle, bone or other hard object anywhere in a pound of meat, I will find it, usually while eating, and get completely grossed out. *gag*
3) I cannot sleep if there is a wrinkle in the sheet underneath me. The little bump will drive me to distraction, causing me to toss and turn until I straighten it out. Jeff calls me “The Princess and the Pea.”
4) I was almost kidnapped as a child. A man chased me through the desert in his van, and when I finally stopped running, due to exhaustion, he pulled over and tried to get me into the vehicle by saying, "I'm a policeman, and I'm taking you into the station. Get in the van, now!" I ran off through the desert bushes and lost him.
5) I have been planning a trip to Africa since I was 14. Hopefully someday, I'll actually go!
6) I LOVE rice crispy treats. Especially if they have a layer of chocolate and peanut butter on them. But I don't particularly enjoy Rice Crispies as a cereal.
7) When I’m alone in the car, I like to turn up the radio and sing loudly. Sometimes I even think I sound good.
8) I am terrified of needles. When I find I am going to have a shot, I break out into a cold sweat and have difficulty sitting still (all the blood tests during my fertility testing and short-lived pregnancy were a NIGHTMARE!)
9) My favorite TV show is Survivor. I have never missed an episode.
10) I have 3 cats, and have never actually owned a dog, yet I still think of myself as a "dog person."

I would love to go to Africa too!!!! Especially after seeing Catch a Fire!!!
I can't stand gristle, fat, or icky stuff on my meat either. I cut it AND any actual meat that touched off. My hubby tells me how weird I am and then takes the little pile of "scraps" that I made! LOL
My mom and aunt went to Africa 2 (3?) years ago and loved it. They both said the flights there and back are horrible though. Take a lot of books! :)
I am sure there are wierd things about me, but I would not be able to think of any to write. I guess I would have to take a poll. That would be scary to hear what others think is wierd about me.
Wow...you were almost kidnapped. That is scary as hell. But I also find it cool. Cool, because you had the presense of mind to know to run away.
Your parents taught you well. Kudos to them.
Oh, and kudos to you for hating the fat on meat. I hate that, too. Makes me gag.

I can't believe about the kidnapping thing. I bet you had nightmares for months/ years. It sounds like you were a very smart girl! M loves rice krispy treats too. I always make fun of him (because they are a kids treat) when he gets a load of them at buffet restaurants. But hey, I order hot chocolate at starbucks so who am I to laugh??
Yes, the kidnapping thing was a bit scary. The worst part was being chased by the van. I totally thought he was going to run me over.
