SPF - Your Letters
This week's assignment from Kristine was letters. I could have gone so many ways with this. Different ideas kept flitting through my head, but every time I went to the fridge, I was confronted with this set of letters, courtesy of Leap Frog Fridge Phonics, and decided to go with them as my subject.

Before I had kids, I swore my refrigerator would never look like this. Never would I have plastic letters stuck all over the door, in jumbled disarray. Yet, there they are, colorfully mocking me, every time I go into the kitchen.
What's worse is that these letters sing. When we first brought Vika and Eamon home, they loved the alphabet song from this little fridge unit, and played it constantly (dancing along as if it was the best rock song ever!). Nowadays, the letters are used for spelling practice, to hang various works of "art," and when Vika plays "teacher" (with Eamon as her student).
Someday, our kids will outgrow these letters, and the fridge will once again be alphabet free. But you know what? When that time comes, I think I may might feel a little sad. It seems the letters have grown on me after all.

I guarantee you will feel VERY sad when those letters are no longer stuck to the fridge. Trust me on this one. In fact, I recommend you always keep at least the V and E as a way to remember these special times in your lives. While some days seen interminable, the time will pass all too quickly. Take it from the mother of two old kids. I'd give just about anything to go back to the days of letters on the fridge!
AAH! Youre the second person Ive seen with those same fridge magnet letters! We have those too...sorta...most of them are stuck to random metal things about the house.
B says Buh, B says Buh, every letter makes a sound, B says Buh.
Jeez...ok, well at least its educational.

I think those fridge letters are so cool, even if they get annoying with their singing. :-) I don't know if they were around when my kids were small. (My sons are in their 30's, so it's been a while.) Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Jenni,
I don't have kids, but have three nieces that I love dearly. My thing was PINK. I would NEVER dress my daughter in pink. Well, let's just say that something pink slips through every now and then. As much as it hurt me to start, I have to admit, sometimes the things are very cute without being GIRLY. :) I can't wait until I have my own and see what other NEVERS I break :)
I love Leap Frog stuff! I've never seen those! Cute take on SPF :-) Love me some fridge letters :-)
Looks like fun!
I played too :)
