7 Things

I've been tagged by Arlene!

Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their seven things and post the rules as well. At the end of your post, choose 7 people to tag and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog! OK, here goes...

  1. I woke up at 8:30 this morning. I feel like I could have slept another 2 hours.
  2. Jeff and I had a wonderful weekend, just the two of us, celebrating our 5th anniversary. Even still, I missed the kids terribly!
  3. I really need to exercise more.
  4. I love reading PostSecret, because it helps me realize how small my problems really are.
  5. My brother is getting married on Sunday, and Jeff, the kids and I are all in the wedding!
  6. The whole process of infertility, adoption, and finding my way as a new mother has taught me so much about myself. It has also taught me who my real friends and family are.
  7. I want to go to Africa desperately. I have ever since I was 14 (that's nearly 20 years). I hope someday I make it there.

So there are my 7 things. Kind of random and disjointed, but I'm still trying to wake up, and that's how my thoughts are in the morning. I need some tea.

The people I tag are: Sandi, Noodles, Cathy, Kathy, Lia, Jeff (if you ever get your blog started), and (e).

I met the Post Secret blogger at the book store the other day. It was kind of weird.

Glad to hear you got to go away for your anniversary. How fun!

Hi I found your blog today from a comment you made on someone elses blog. I just wanted to comment about your desire to go to Africa. I wanted to go since I was a small child and guess what I did! I lived in Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer for 2+ years and loved it. I have done a lot of travel my most recent overseas trip? to Ukraine to adopt my beautiful daugher. I hope your dream of Africa comes true.

Thanks Joan! I'm so jealous that you were able to live and work in Africa for 2 years. I bet it was quite an adventure!

Congratulations on bringing your daughter home from the Ukraine!
