I Survived Nearly 2 Weeks Without the Internet
Amazing, I know. I didn't intend to go 2 weeks without internet access. It just sort of happened. Both the network at school and our home airport system crashed. At the same time. That's not a coincidence I'd like to repeat any time soon.
So, anyway, I'm back on-line, and frankly, I don't know where to start. So, here it is, in bullet point format, since I have neither the time nor energy to delve too deeply into any of these topics right now.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to hack up a lung.
So, anyway, I'm back on-line, and frankly, I don't know where to start. So, here it is, in bullet point format, since I have neither the time nor energy to delve too deeply into any of these topics right now.
- Eamon turned 5 on October 7th! My little man's growing up. *sob*
- I've caught a bear of a cold. Or maybe it's the flu. I'm not sure. I just know that it sucks and I'm ready to be done with it already.
- My co-worker J9 got married on Saturday, and it was one of the funnest weddings I've ever attended. We took a train from this Gold Rush town to a natural cathedral in the redwoods where the ceremony took place. After the ceremony, we got to do a bunch of great frontier-town activities like candle making, panning for gold, and toasting marshmallows. The best part was a dress-up stand with all kinds of crazy hats, scarves and boas and a Polaroid camera. Next to this stand was a scrapbooking table where you could make a personal page for the couple's guest book, including the Polaroid image you just took. The whole event was unique, fun, and very memorable.
- Last, but certainly not least, I've joined Starfish's KAL (knit-a-long). We're all making "infertility sucks" scarves from one of four available patterns. If you are a knitter, please feel free to join in. We start on Monday, October 15th. You can follow our progress here.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to hack up a lung.

I was wondering where you went...sorry you're sick! That wedding sounds like alot of fun, how different! I don't suppose you'll be posting your dress up picture?
Welcome back online! I bet it will take you awhile to get caught back up again...or maybe you'll just pick up where you left off.
I think I have the same hacking up a lung condition that you have right now. No fun.
Welcome back!
Happy belated birthday Eamon!
The wedding sounds like a good time.
Feel better.
Happy Belated Birthday Eamon!!
How DID you live without the internet for 2 weeks? I would pace the floor or something.
So, I considered joining the knitalong just for support, and DANG, those patterns are way over my head. Is there a remedial group I can join?
Drink some tea with honey, lemon, and bourbon. That'll soothe your cough. And also, put you to sleep.
we missed you. Happy birthday.
I wish I had thought of that idea for guests to do for the guestbook. much more interesting than a bunch of signatures in a book.
I'm guessing if you can survive 2 weeks without internet you cal survive damn near anything! That's my girl!
Hey, Jenni. I was wondering where you've been. I hope you feel better soon.
Happy Birthday to Eamon!
It's so good to have you back! Sorry you're so sick!!!
Wow that wedding sounds great!
My home computer is not working properly. The internet is freezing up my system. I know how you feel, but lately I have been a hermit so I guess it really didn't bother me as much. Luckily, I have a laptop where I do all my writing now I just plugged this one in to be connected to the world which sadly, I didn't miss much. Or is that a good sign?
