To Cut or not to Cut...That is the Question
Vika's been looking a bit like a rag lately. She has wanted to grow her hair out so that she can look like a "princess" (oh joy), but it really just looks ropey and unkempt. There's just enough wave in parts of her hair that it won't hang sleek and straight, but it's not curly enough to have bounce. It's just kind of... straggly....
You may have guessed that I want to cut the girl's hair. Jeff does too. But, Vika kind of wants to leave it long (except when she's drying her hair - then she wants it short). Here are pictures of her for comparison (click on any of the images to make them bigger). What do you think? Chop it, or let it grow?

She's adorable either way, but I really like her with shorter hair. Like the middle one. I love it with bangs too.
I love Vika's shorter hair -- I think it suits her face. But, in my opinion, hair is just hair. It's a battle I choose not to fight. Slugger wants to grow his hair long right now. I told him that was fine, but we would keep getting trims on the bottom while it's growing out so he doesn't look like a mess. Vika's long hair is pretty, just not as sweet as the short cut.
I think the shorter dos are more flattering on her. She looks really cute with the bob. But...I lost the hair battle with my girls a long time ago. I just let them choose, and straggly it is over here, so if it were me...I guess I'd let her leave it long if that's what she wants.
I think the reason she looks so good with short hair is that it is neatly styled. Why not compromise and cut it just a little shorter, but give it more layers so it's more swishy and trendy. It would probably make you both happy. That's my two cents.
Short enough to be "sassy" and look neat. Long enough for the occassional pony tail or pigtails. At least she doesn't have that mass of knots at the bottom like her mom did!

I'm joining the consensus. She looks so good with short hair. Is there a compromise somewhere?

I like the longer hair... come on the first picture of the long series is AWESOME!
I also think that if it was styled a little bit more and maybe layered it would look fabulous!
Either way she a beautiful little girl and she would look great with either style.

She is beautiful no matter what. But I know what you mean. I wanted to grow Olivia's hair long, but ended up cutting it because it is so flyaway and stringy/staticky.
