Dream Interpretation
I've hear the phrase, "on a sinking ship," but what do you suppose it means if you're on a really tall ship, and the water level around you is sinking? You want to dive off, but can't because the water is too shallow and you might bonk your head on the bottom.

It means you are rising to the occassion (whatever that may be) and don't need no stinkin' water to jump into! Now, a little motherly advice, lay off the pizza before going to bed.
I think it is because you are mother of the year and you are up so high to receive your award, which of course may be a cruise.
You want to jump off and hug all your adoring fans below. :o)
Obviously psychology was not my major, but I prefer trying to find the positive in all my crazy dreams!
Others around you are doing things that are beneath you: gossiping, complaining, etc. You are rising above. Still, you're tempted to join in, but don't for fear of...bonking your head.

There's something dangerous inevitably approaching you and yet you can't escape it. You already sense the danger and are contemplating actions you need to take to protect yourself. But the timing is just not right. To act now would only result in hurting yourself.
Perhaps dreams and hopes that you had in life (Marriage, family, career, etc.) had seemed to be "perfect", but now you sense an unpleasant change coming. It's something you can't run from. You can't just easily jump away from the situation.
You need to be very strong, in mind and spirit for what awaits you. For it will come eventually. Before that day comes, you need to prepare yourself internally (emotionally and mentally) because there's no physical solution to deal with this situation. You need to guard your heart, and hold firm to what is right in order to save yourself and everything that is dear to you.
Don't disregard this message. If this dream was intense and full of strong feelings, then there was definitely a purpose for you to remember it so vividly.
So again, be very strong and courageous, and you will become a better person after the painful trial you will undergo.
