A Day at the Beach
The weather was nicer yesterday than it is going to be for a while, so we packed the kids up and headed towards the beach. Vika, Eamon and I hunted around tide pools, touched starfish, and explored the cliffs while Jeff fished out on a rock. He had a few nibbles, and wound up catching a one-clawed crab. There were a bunch of sea lions in the area, so the kids and I joined Jeff on his rock and watched them play for a while. Then we all headed back to the beach to do some playing of our own. Funniest moment of the day: Jeff spun Eamon around and then told him to walk to me. The results are below. Vika doubled over with laughter at this, until Jeff spun her around and she attempted to walk too. I'm glad the kids have a sense of humor about themselves. God knows they'll need it, with us as parents!
