If I could talk to the animals...
On Saturday morning, we pulled the kids out of bed and headed to the children's museum and zoo with Gretchen and Rachel. Vika and Eamon had fun playing in the mini kitchen area of the museum, until another little boy began shoving Vix away from the stove. After a brief tussle, the boy wound up with his fingers slammed in a cabinet door (which neither of my kids touched, I swear!), and I ushered Vika and Eamon out to join Rachel. She's a much more accomodating playmate. The museum was fun, but the zoo was where all the real action was taking place. Vika and Rachel spent a lot of time watching the geese and ducks, while the owl and bats captured Eamon's attention. After a scary goose named Alexander tried to bite Vika, the three kids decided that observing the action from the safety of the bridge was best.
