Fun with Foamies

My husband Jeff is what I affectionately refer to as a "different dad." Sometimes this is a compliment (like when he takes the kids puddle jumping in the rain), and other times it means, "Dude, you're kind of scaring me" (like when he encourages the kids to slide down the stairs head first).

This is an example of him being a good kind of “different dad.” While I was subbing this week, Jeff was home with the kids, and he received a package that was filled with those bio-degradable foamies (as I call them, for lack of a better word). Instead of throwing them away, as I would have done, he turned them into a toy for Vika and Eamon. Apparently, if you get the foamies a little wet, they will stick to your face – something Jeff must have learned during his days as a UPS driver. Here are the results:

Eamon with a moustache, looking very much like Deydushka (his Grandpa Ed)

Vika doing her impersonation of Ded Moroz (the Russian Santa Claus).

I know! He's like Ed's "mini-me." Naturally, Vika was not content with just a moustache - she had to have a beard too. :)
