Update

For those of you who may be wondering, our post-placement visit went really well. The kids related to our social worker right away and she was able to get them to demonstrate several developmental skills showing just how far they have come since we first met them. Vika was all too happy to give the SW many samples of her writing, and Eamon gleefully recited some letters of the alphabet. We all had a nice chat over tea and cake, and despite one incident involving the ripping of Vika's favorite book (ouch!), the kids were very well behaved.

One post-placement visit down, 3 more to go! Now we just have to make sure the paperwork gets in on time. Russia recently moved up all their dealines by a month, making our report due this month instead of at the end of June. Surprise! Now we are in for a bit of a scramble, but hopefully everything will fall into place. Oh, the joys of international adoption.... :)
