SPF - The Title Company
This week Kristine mixed up the SPF assignment a bit to get us to think outside of the box. She gave us title categories, asking us to take a picture to go along with it. So, here's my Stuff:1) Song Title: These Boots are Made for Walking (by Nancy Sinatra)
This photo is one we took of Eamon's orphanage boots. What can I say about these? They certainly are BLUE. Plus, their orthopedic design made him walk with a kind of side-stompy gait. I guess these boots aren't really made for walking after all....
2) Book Title: Little Women
This is a shot of some Matroshkas we bought in Russia for Vika. The smallest one is really, really tiny. Like half the size of my pinkie fingernail tiny. Which, unfortunately, is too tiny to get properly into focus...
3) Movie Title: The Goblet of Fire
I know, this is a book title too, but since so many movies are based on books, I figured Kristine wouldn't mind if I fudged a little. With some help from Jeff, I got this shot capturing both the flame and embers. We had a lot of fun starting mini-fires in the backyard, until our neighbor poked her head out the window to see if her house was buring down. At that point we figured it was probably a good time to stop.

No one else said anything about little women...I liked it. I thought it was very creative! And I also like that the focus goes fuzzy towards the back...nice depth of field. Happy SPF!

Great shots! As a full-time freelance photographer, I always recognize someone with a good eye!
Fire is interesting to shoot...its tricky...the temperature of the fire reads extremely bright. I like to shoot them with a time exposure and while the shutter is open I paint the background with a hand held flash...its fun to see what you can create!
