The Great Pumpkins

Last night Jeff and I introduced the kids to that most sacred of Halloween traditions, the carving of the jack o' lantern. Since they are new to this, we decided to keep things easy this year. No eleborate scenes from Pumpkin Masters were etched into our pumpkins! Instead, we opted for the more standard approach of carving faces. Here are the results.

Vika designed this pumpkin herself. She says it's a witch (a very happy, emoticon-looking witch, if you ask me).

Eamon also designed his jack o' lantern. I gave him a gallery of eyes, noses and mouths to chose from, and this is what he came up with. He wanted his "jack-a-ner" to sing like a ghost.

This is my pumpkin. Pretty basic, but I like it.

Here's Jeff's jack o' lantern, carved to resemble one of the pumpkins in Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas."

Our jack o' lantern family photo.

I hope you all have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Interesting that Jeff's pumpkin is the only one with a nose!!! Must be some deep, hidden meaning there......

What great pumpkin artists you have! Why is it the man of the house always has the scariest one? At least it is true at my house.

I hope you had a fun Halloween!
