Important Message About AMREX
Many of us involved with FRUA and the Russian adoption community are already aware of the AMREX situation. But, for those of you who are not so familiar with the issue, please check out the post of the FRUA Chat board here. Everyone who is adopting from Russia or Guatemala should be aware of what is going on with AMREX, and hopefully we can all work together to prevent something like this from happening ever again.
To those families who have been affected by this situation, and lost money, time and/or referrals, my heart goes out to you. I hope that those of you who have made your first trip or have accepted a referral are able to work with another agency to bring your child home. I also hope that by taking the steps listed in the FRUA post, you can be reimbursed for any services that were not delivered.

This is such a huge tragedy. It is unbelievable.
I, for one, didn't do much research when choosing an agency. I just took for granted that something like this could never happen. I feel for those families impacted by this. What a mess.
