A Random Conversation with My Son
Tonight, as I was tucking Eamon into bed, he said to me, "Mama, do you want me to be a kid forever?"
Me - "I do love having you as a little kid. But I want you to grow up too. I want to see what kind of Papa you're going to be."
Eamon - (shaking his head) "I don't want to be a Papa. I'm going to be a Ninja Turtle!"
Me - "Um.... OK!"
Eamon - (with brow wrinkled in thought) "But then I will need a long rope."
Truly, his thought process is amazing. Especially considering that we don't watch "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Where in left field did that come from? And what he would need the rope for? Scaling walls? Can turtles even do that?
Oh, to live inside Eamon's head for a day.
