I've Been Blocked on YouTube!!!

Remember the video I shared with you all about our trip to Disneyland in 2006? Well, you can't see it anymore because YouTube has blocked it. Apparently, Aly & AJ (or perhaps Disney) asked to have it blocked because the video features their version of the song, "Zip A Dee Doo Dah."

Really? Is this what the world of copyrights has come to? I'm not making any money off the video, and I bought the song, fair and square, off of iTunes. In fact, I would think that the video might give the Aly and AJ version of the song a little more exposure to people who hadn't heard it before. Heck, maybe people even bought the song as a result of my video!

*sigh* I wonder if any of my other videos featuring songs by recording artists will be blocked as well?

Steve's videos were blocked as well. Including the one of our first trip last September. We still have the original copies, but have deleted them off of YouTube.

I mean really, blocking people's home videos? Don't they have anything better to do?

    I can't believe that!

Would Dropshots or something similar give you the same issues?

Sounds a bit silly to me. Next time just have the kids sing a song to go along with the video.

Lame-o-rama!!! Why do they even care? And you wonder who's job it is to just search the internet for things that could be copyrights...OMG!
