Kindergarten Fun

As my regular readers know, Vika is in kindergarten. Being the occasional teacher/helpful parent that I am, I volunteer every once in a while in her class. The other day, I was in there assessing the kids' counting abilities. One adorable little girl in the class, Giselle, sat down next to me and began counting, a smile on her face the entire time. She counted to 10, then stopped and looked at me with an expectant grin. I said, "That's great! Can you go any higher?" She looked at me for a moment, still smiling, and nodded "yes."

Then, she got up from her chair, stood on her tippy-toes, and stretched her hands up towards the ceiling.

I sat there, stunned for a moment, before I realized what she was doing. At that point, all I could do was laugh and say, "Good job Giselle! You went higher!"

Sometimes you just need a little kid around to lighten the serious academic mood.
