Chocolate Bunnies and Dayquil don't Mix

Our kids have found the chocolate Easter Bunnies we hid *cough* kept in a safe place for them, and they are hardly able to contain their rapturous joy. I understand. Chocolate often makes me feel the same way. But this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Currently, they are running around the house, singing this little diddy, which they made up themselves:

“We’re going to eat the rabbits! The chocolate, chocolate rabbits! Like a chocolate PIE!!!!” (The "pie" is a sustained note, sung loudly with arms thrown wide)

Unfortunately, since I have caught Eamon’s cold, I neither have the strength nor the motivation to stop them. So here they are, dancing around me like a couple of deranged Elmer Fudds, while I sit in a Dayquil-induced haze.

I think I’ll go back to bed and hold a pillow over my head.

Grab one of those bunny ears and fill it with peanut butter...doesn't matter how loudly the kids sing. With that combo, life is goooood

Boy, that scared me! I thought you ate a chocolate bunny and washed it down with Dayquil! Luckily, it's only noisy kids....

I like AnnMarie's suggestion. Do that. Much better than NyQuil any day.

Hey! I am sick too. I caught it from Pineapple. I am happy to know that I am not suffering alone.

The kids never run out of energy do they?

This cold that's been going around is the pits! At least I'm feeling somewhat human again today. Probably because I decided to forgo the Dayquil. :)

You should really just take Nyquil and let them go at the chocolate ;-)
