I hope you all are having a great weekend!
I'm preparing for school (I begin teaching workshops next week), and starting to freak out about having to manage thirty 11-12 year olds all on my own. I've been having nightmares where it is the first day of school, and all the kids are looking at me, waiting for some instruction, and I've got nothing. No worksheets, no lesson plans, no books, nothing! At least I'm fully clothed in the dreams (my co-worker, who is also a new teacher, is having the same dreams, with the added element of standing naked before her class). That must mean that subconsciously I'm feeling slightly prepared, right?
Life is definitely going to get interesting in the coming weeks.
Slugger and I saw a kite like that for sale and we were sorely tempted. It looks cool in flight!
You're going to do great! It does have to be a bit nerve-wracking going back to teaching after staying home for a while. Once you get in the groove, I think you're going to enjoy being back. I enjoy and appreciate my work a lot more than I used to now -- it's my chance to rejuvenate!
you'll be great! i think the fact that you're dressed in your dreams is def. a good sign. let us know how it goes!
And don't forget to wear clean underwear. You know, just in case of an accident and the rule that only people with clean underwear get taken care of. At least that's what MY mother told me!
PS - you'll do great and be an outstanding teacher. No doubts in my mind.
you'll do fine. do some get to know you activities and show them you have a sense of humor. Then froom the second week on, get down to business. Don't let em see you smile until Christmas.
I am sure it is worrying going back, but I am sure you, like the kite will soar!!!
