This was on Post Secret, and it made me think of our kids, and their lives before we adopted them. It's a both sad and sweet, and I thought I would share.
My little Katya actually told a friend (who asked her what it was like to live in an orphanage) that some things are good and some are bad, but that whenever she was sad or scared, she'd think about the littler kids who were sadder or more scared than her and try to be brave for their sake. It broke my heart to hear this.
Wow. That's pretty heavy. I so often look at your kids and think of all those years they didn't have a family and it makes me sad. How fortunate we are to have them in our lives and to give them the kind of love they deserve.
In December, 2005, we adopted two children from Russia, expanding our home by "four feet." Life has not been the same since! Join me as I juggle the responsibilities parenthood, my job as a kindergarten teacher (ack! how did THAT happen?), and an obsession with knitting.
I love Post Secret...
I love that. However I had never heard of Post Secret before. That blog is a little too weird for me.
that really is precious
Very sweet.

Warms the cockles, doesn't it?
