On the Adoption Front
I'd like to give a big congratulations to Maggie, who was matched with a little boy, Slugger, today! Hopefully she will be able to complete her adoption soon (she's adopting domestically), and will have her son home for summer BBQs. If you get a chance, stop by her blog and send her your congratulations!
Also, an update to my last post: Dawn went to court, and Stephen's birth-mother did not show up. The person representing the birth-mother even had the gall to suggest that Dawn and Joe adopt the birth-mother and the baby she is carrying (she's 19), so she could come to America and work as a maid! Simply amazing. Anyway, the court hearing was postponed until tomorrow, to give the birth-mother another chance to appear in court. Keep your fingers crossed that a decision is reached tomorrow, and Dawn and Joe can finally move forward (with little Stephen as a part of their family).

Thanks for the congrats. Let's hope the good news continues with Dawn and Joe. Goodness knows they're due for some good news.
I hope things work out for them. I can't imagine.

The nerve of some people never cease to amaze me!
I hope all goes well with them, and they both get their boys!
